Earth is fighting to stay alive. Mass dieoffs, triggered by anthropogenic assault and fallout of planetary defense systems offsetting the impact, could begin anytime!

Older White Women Join Kenya’s Sex Tourists

Posted by msrb on November 27, 2007

Here’s another group of criminals spreading deadly diseases in impoverished countries under the guise of tourism.

“Bethan, 56, lives in southern England on the same street as best friend Allie, 64. They are on their first holiday to Kenya, a country they say is ‘just full of big young boys who like us older girls.'” Original story

E. coli O157:H7 Again? AGAIN?

Posted by feww on November 26, 2007

E. coli O157:H7 is a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause both intestinal infections such as bloody diarrhea, and extra-intestinal infections such as urinary tract infections, meningitis, peritonitis, mastitis, septicemia and Gram-negative pneumonia. Children, elderly and people with compromised immune systems are the most susceptible to E. coli.

“GREEN BAY, Wis. – A company voluntarily recalled nearly 96,000 pounds of ground beef products after two people were sickened, possibly by the E. coli bacteria, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Saturday.

“The beef products by American Foods Group include coarse and fine ground beef chuck, sirloin and chop beef. They were distributed to retailers and distributors in Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Virginia.” Read more …

More Eco-Terrorism in Antarctica

Posted by feww on November 25, 2007

The critters who commit acts of eco-terrorism (the tourists and the tourism industry) need urgent rehabilitation. And if that fails, they should be put behind bars for the rest of their wretched lives to protect the environment.

“BUENOS AIRES, Nov 23 (IPS) – The second accident this year involving a cruiseliner in the Antarctic is alarming the countries that protect and conserve the frozen continent, which are persisting in their demands for penalties in cases of disasters that cause pollution.”

“Mariano Mémoli, the head of the National Antarctic Directorate at the Argentine Foreign Ministry, told IPS “we are extremely concerned by the frequency of these accidents, but the other countries, which are also alarmed, are taking their time about signing laws to defend the environment.”

“[T]he M/S Explorer, a tourist cruise ship, collided with an iceberg close to the South Shetland Islands, north of the Antarctic Peninsula, shortly after five a.m. on Friday. The 154 people on board, passengers and crew, were taken off in lifeboats and inflatable dinghies, and the damaged ship was left listing at an angle of 45º.”

“… The liner was carrying 185 tons of fuel, and the first assessments agreed that towing it would be risky and costly.” (!)

“Mémoli said that the diesel oil carried by the cruiser is a light fuel, most of which will evaporate, but the residue is highly toxic and soluble in water. “This is an area of high biological value, with penguins, seals, elephant seals, and a range of fish and bird species,” he said.”

“The ship, 73 metres in length and with a beam of 14 metres, flies the Liberian flag. It was built in Finland and is operated by GAP Adventures, a Canadian tourist company.”

“Most of the passengers, who paid an average 8,000 dollars for the cruise, were from the UK, the Netherlands, the U.S. and Australia.” Read more …

New Zealand: The nadir of human aspirations

Posted by feww on November 24, 2007

The “rabbit hole of morality downunder from which Alice will never return!”

My colleague calls New Zealand “the nadir of human aspirations.” The “rabbit hole of morality downunder from which Alice will never return!” When I read the following I knew instantly what that meant.

“In New Zealand around 800,000 pigs are slaughtered each year. For many pigs, death is the only thing that brings relief from any further suffering. Most pigs are reared indoors under extremely intensive and cruel conditions. They are denied their natural behaviour, suffer illnesses and leg disorders …”

“Pigs raised for slaughter are often kept in dark, barren and overcrowded pens. … these young pigs turn to vices such as aggression and tail-biting other pigs which can lead to cannibalism. Instead of providing better conditions for the animals, farmers reduce tail biting by cutting off part of the piglet’s tail, without the use of anaesthetic.” Read More…

Cruel Wool from Barbaric New Zealand

Posted by terres on November 13, 2007

Will you feel warm this winter?

Mulesing . . . hillside butchery

“If you’ve never heard of the word ‘mulesing’ (pronounced mule-zing) you can be forgiven. Most New Zealanders are blissfully unaware [sic] of what can only be described as the most barbaric and vicious practice carried out in the New Zealand farm industry today.” Read more…

“Mulesing is the partial skinning alive of lambs, especially in Australia and New Zealand, where millions of lambs are treated this way. Stock hands cut away the skin and wool from the lambs’ backsides with shears. They may amputate the lambs’ tails at the same time and peal the skin from around the lambs’ tail stumps. Stock hands carry out the operation with no demand for competence and no anaesthetic for the sheep. Million of lambs are mulesed every year.” Read more…

E. coli O157:H7, Again?

414,000 Pizza Cases With Possible E. Coli O157:H7

As there is a raised risk of E. coli O157:H7 contamination of 414,000 cases of pizza products with pepperoni toppings, the makers, General Mills, has announced a voluntary recall of said pizzas. As these are freezable products, the company is asking consumers to check in their freezers as well. The pizzas were produced in General Mills’ Ohio factory and distributed throughout the USA. A New Direction:

Here’s some non-contaminated food for your thought: The less processed food you eat the more control you would have over your food hygiene. The more control exercised over the food hygiene the less animal feces (hopefully none at all) would get into your nosh. And as you improve the food hygiene by preparing own fresh food, the E. coli O157:H7 (and a host of other nasty bacteria) would find it much more difficult to invade your digestive system. Oh… and if your lifestyle doesn’t allow you the joy of producing and preparing own food, there is a better option:

[There has never been a better time to take charge of your life!]

Superbugs, Wildfires, Hurricanes and Vibrational Fields

Posted by feww on November 1, 2007

An Alternative Viewpoint or Pseudoscience?

The “vibration researchers,” as they call themselves, believe that everything is made from energy vibrations and that “vibrational fields” protect our world from harm.

They assert that “negative energy” creates negative or dead “fields” by canceling out the benevolent “vibrational fields,” resulting in “negative zones,” NZ. Like a celestial death machine, NZ energize malevolent superbugs, generate and amplify energy pulses that cause wildfires, droughts, disease pandemics, hurricanes, earthquakes… . NZ, the “researchers” say, are created by pain, anger, grief and fear among other negative emotions.
