Planes diverted, businesses closed, government employees told to wear masks!
“Looking at the overall duration (of the pollution), today’s smoke level is the worst yet,” said Alexei Popikov, an expert on air quality at Moscow’s state-run pollution monitoring agency.

“The deadliest wildfires in nearly four decades have killed at least 50 people and left thousands homeless as entire villages of wooden houses burned down. Russia has also announced a temporary ban on grain exports after crops were ravaged.” A report said.

Being from Kansas, I know a bit about food and this is quite alarming to me. And then (as you have written ‘if it can go wrong, it will right about now’) yesterday I saw a locust. I thought it was a giant grasshopper, but its wings were different. A locust in KS is not like finding a lucky penny.

One more thing…
Nature is under attack. So is humanity. The results of this attack are the events unfolding, not a defensive reaction. yes, I do believe there is a type of conciousness in our planet, but it is not fighting off an attack. Its being pummeled to a bloody pulp and is in its last round of the fight.
Its called “Mother Earth”, not “Evil Step-mother Earth”. love is unconditional to ones offspring. And a mom would sacrifice herself to save her childern.

Nature is attacked by humans!
Freud said:
“Against the dreaded external world one can only defend oneself by some kind of turning away from it, if one intends to solve the task by oneself. There is, indeed, another and a better path: that of becoming a member of human community, and, with the help of a technique guided by science, going over to attack against nature and subjecting her to human will.”

Visualize it as an immune system: Mama Nat is trying to protect its “healthy cells” against pathogens.
“And a mom would sacrifice herself to save her children.”
In this case, if “mom” dies her children die with her. So she’ll have to stay alive to try save her selected kids.
Human race is not equipped to get there; our lifestyles bear testament to the fact.
Think of a possible future as “by invitation only!”
