About 98 percent of disasters, more so in 2010, are human-enhanced disasters, mostly environmental and with dire social consequences.

Can you give us a little detail on what disaster we are talking about and what part of Canada? Among the G8 nations, i think Canada is the cleanest and greenest, it has less but diversified population (+/- 34Mil). Those oilsands issues are blown out of proportion by the media, it’s overrated. Canada i think still consumes less energy compared to some 3rd world countries.
