Fire Earth

Earth is fighting to stay alive. Mass dieoffs, triggered by anthropogenic assault and fallout of planetary defense systems offsetting the impact, could begin anytime!

Major pipeline ruptures in Western Canada

28, 000 barrels of oil swamps a wetland area near native community at Evi, Alberta

Rainbow Pipeline’s oil spill, the worst Alberta oil spill since 1975, dumped at least 28, 000 barrels of oil into a wetland area at Evi, 12 km (7.5 miles) from Little Buffalo, Alberta, Canada on May 5, 2011. Photograph by: Greenpeace/ via edmontonjournal

The spill has reportedly caused the death of dozens of beavers and waterfowls.  Residents of the village of Little Buffalo have complained of dizziness and nausea, caused by the strong, obnoxious odor.

“In 2006, the line ruptured 10 km (6 miles) south of Slave Lake, Alberta, spilling 7,500 barrels of oil. Investigators said stress-corrosion cracking, fatigue cracking and external coating failure combined to cause the leak,” said a report.

You are all on the money! We humans do this stuff on purpose, because we aren’t smart enough to realize that we need an eco-system…
I challenge anyone complaining about the energy industry to boycott it. Stop using electricity, natural gas, propane, gasoline, diesel, lamp oil. Park your car. Don’t even ride a bike, those tires are made of rubber, and your shoes have plastic and rubber too, so don’t wear them. Go barefoot, stay away from energy consumers, hide under a rock, don’t light a fire too keep warm, that wood is non-renewable.

If you are not part of the solution, you ARE the problem. At least I can admit it.

You are confusing the issues. It WAS never a question of what we needed, but how much we used and WHY.

The earth was never home to the majority of humans. She was a pile of rocks to be attacked and tamed, raped and rearranged, plundered and looted systemically.

Now, the planet is fighting back to stay alive. A dead planet cannot support life.

Here’s on of the blog’s favorite quotes by a “scholar” who saw to it that humans didn’t stand a chance:

“Against the dreaded external world one can only defend oneself by some kind of turning away from it, if one intends to solve the task by oneself. There is, indeed, another and a better path: that of becoming a member of human community, and, with the help of a technique guided by science, going over to attack against nature and subjecting her to human will.” ~Sigmund Freud

ALL of the above is of course academic now.

Humans don’t care what kind of damage they do to all the life-forms around them.
