AK Breaks 2 Daily Highest Max Temp Recs in July

Deadhorse and Elfin Cove, AK, break or tie 3 daily high max temp records

Daily maximum temperature soared to 74.0ºF in Deadhorse, North Slope Borough County, AK, breaking a previous record of 73.0ºF set in July 1994.

Deadhorse also tied daily high maximum temperature record of 78.0ºF set on July 23, 2007.

On July 21, Elfin Cove, Skagway-Hoonah-Angoon County, set a new Daily High Max Temperature record of 67.0ºF. The old record of 65.0ºF was set 36 years ago.
