Pakistan’s Dera Ghazi Khan, parts of Manila, Philippines and 10 Thai provinces submerged by floodwater
Thousands of people have been evacuated in central Pakistan, Metro Manila, Philippines and 10 of Thailand’s 77 provinces after floodwater inundated large areas.
- Pakistan. At least 400 people have been killed or injured due to flooding, triggered by extreme rain events, in Pakistan since late August.
- Nearly four weeks of torrential heavy rains across Pakistan have caused significant damage to property and public infrastructure in the country.

- Thailand. Flooding in 10 of Thailand’s 77 provinces have forced at least 150,000 people to abandon their homes, and submerged about 300 square kilometers of farmland.
