Meningitis cases climb to 105 across 9 states

Nine states have reported 105 cases of meningitis, including 8 deaths, linked to epidural steroid injections, CDC reported. An estimated 17,000 people may have received the injections.

New England Compounding Center, the pharmacy that distributed a contaminated steroid linked to the outbreak of fungal meningitis has now issued a  recall of all of its products, reports said.

  • Florida: 4 cases
  • Indiana: 11 cases
  • Maryland: 5 cases, including 1 death
  • Michigan: 21 cases, including 2 deaths
  • Minnesota: 3 case
  • North Carolina: 2 cases
  • Ohio: 1 case
  • Tennessee: 35 cases, including 4 deaths
  • Virginia: 23 cases, including 1 death
