WH has declared Vermont, New Hampshire, Florida federal disaster areas

Vermont Disaster Declaration

The White House has declared a major disaster exists in the State of Vermont in the areas affected by severe storms and flooding during the period of June 25 to July 11, 2013.

Areas worst affected by severe storms and flooding are the counties of Caledonia, Chittenden, Orange, Orleans, Rutland, Washington, and Windsor.

Additional disaster designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state and warranted by the results of further damage assessments, said FEMA.

New Hampshire Disaster Declaration

The White House has declared a major disaster exists in the State of New Hampshire in the areas affected by severe storms, flooding and landslides during the period of June 26 to July 3, 2013.

Most of the damage caused by the severe storms, flooding and landslides occurred in the counties of Cheshire, Grafton and Sullivan.

Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state and warranted by the results of further damage assessments, said FEMA in a statement.

Florida Disaster Declaration

The White House has declared a major disaster exists in the State of Florida in the areas affected by severe storms and flooding during the period of July 2-7, 2013.

Areas worst affected by the severe storms and flooding are the counties of Holmes, Walton and Washington.
