Average 36 people killed in Iraq each day this year
At least 1159 people have been killed in Iraq since March 1, 2014, bringing the massacre toll to more than 3,160 so far this year.
Thousands of other have been wounded in the bloody violence. Millions of others have been scared psychologically for the rest of their lives.
Some 8,868 Iraqis, including 7,818 civilians and civilian police personnel, were killed in 2013, according to the United Nation’s Assistance (!) Mission in Iraq (UNAMI).
Iraq Body Count puts the number of civilians killed in violent acts at 9,475 for 2013.
