M5.6 Quake Strikes Off the Coast of Algiers
Centered at 36.851°N, 3.161°E, the quake struck 15km (9mi) NE of the Algerian capital, Algiers, at a depth of about 10.0km (6.2mi), said USGS/EHP.
Up to 2 million people may have felt the quake. Several fatalities/injuries and moderate damage may have occurred, according to the USGS model.
