Federal Disaster Declared in Montana due to Damage by Extreme Weather Events (DR-4198)
The White House has declared a major disaster exists in the the state of Montana in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds and flooding during the period of August 21 – 25, 2014.
Areas worst affected by the extreme weather disasters include Blaine, Carter, Musselshell, Petroleum, and Valley counties and the Fort Belknap Reservation within Blaine County.
Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the state and warranted by the results of further damage assessments, said the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations in the affected areas.
