U.S. Selected Significant Climate Anomalies January – April 2015

Selected monitoring stations shown on the map had one of their three warmest, coolest, wettest or driest January through April on record. Bold white circle show record value at the station’s current location. The smaller circles indicate year-to-date results that were 2nd or 3rd place among a station’s history. To avoid many overlapping or crowded dots in a region, a small subset of stations across the United States were plotted. There are many stations having “top three” or “bottom three” years that are not depicted in the map. The stations under consideration are listed in other supplemental pages (temperature, precipitation). Source: NCDC/NOAA.
