The old Wahhabi dog indulges in another blood orgy
Saudi Arabia executes 47 people on terror charges including a prominent cleric on the orders of Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Saudi Arabia confirmed Saturday it has executed 47 prisoners, including a reformist cleric and activist Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr on the orders of their king, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, leaving no doubt that their tactics and those of their brothers-in-arms, the Islamic State (IS, or Daesh), are indeed one of the same.
Saudi Arabian government have falsely claimed those beheaded, which included at least 4 political prisoners, were “terrorists.”
“Al-Nimr was a central figure in Shiite protests that erupted in 2011 as part of the Arab Spring, and carrying out his execution may spark new unrest among the OPEC powerhouse’s Shiite minority,” said a report.
A political commentator said: This is what happens when Saudi Arabia’s government had international impunity, those who speak out pay with their lives.
Saudi Arabia executed at least 157 people in 2015, with beheading total reaching their highest annual level in 20 years, according to advocacy groups that monitor the death penalty worldwide.
“Last year saw Saudi Arabia executed over 150 people, many of them for non-violent offenses,” said Maya Foa, a spokesperson for rights group Reprieve, adding that 4 of the 47 executed were political prisoners.
“This appalling news suggests 2016 could be even worse. Alarmingly, the Saudi Government is continuing to target those who have called for domestic reform in the kingdom,” she said.
“There are now real concerns that those protesters sentenced to death as children could be next in line to face the swordsman’s blade. Saudi Arabia’s allies – including the US and UK – must not turn a blind eye to such atrocities and must urgently appeal to the Kingdom to change course.”
