Japanese Space Ship Fails to Remove Space Debris Using Earth’s Magnetic Field –Report

Japanese space cargo ship, Kounotori 6 has failed to carry out a key test of its magnetic technology to remove debris from earth’s orbit, and will renter the atmosphere today, its nationalist broadcaster said.

Launched on December 9, Kounotori 6 was programmed to deploy a 700-meter-long wires, using electric current induced by Earth’s magnetic field,  to cause space debris to slow down and re-enter the atmosphere, where they would burn up.
