Robert Bentley, Alabama Governor, Forced to Resign

Bentley has resigned following  a plea agreement on two misdemeanor charges: “failing to file a major contribution report and knowingly converting campaign contributions to personal use.” He pleaded guilty on Monday, said Ellen Brooks, a special prosecutor.

“I have decided it is time for me to step down as Alabama’s governor,” Bentley said before leaving the State Capitol, without mentioning the charges to which he had pleaded guilty, or the plea bargain with prosecutors that forced his resignation.

Last year, the sex-crazed 74-year-old admitted to cheating on his wife of 50 years, having an affair with his married chief advisor, Rebekah Caldwell Mason, who had reportedly become the “de facto governor.”

“I’m so in love with you, we are pitiful,” Bentley wrote in one love-sick text to his married doxie, together with double  heart-eyes emojis.

It’s unclear weather he would now replace Nimrata “Nikki” Haley as the US Ambassador to the UN, to prevent WWIII.
