Mother of All Bombs, and Father of All Bubbleheads

How intelligent must you be to detonate a 10-ton bomb close to active tectonic fault systems?

The Mother of All Bombs (MOAB) was dropped  by the “Father of All Bubbleheads” on a seismically active area E of Kabul, Afghanistan about 80km W of Peshawar, the oldest city in Pakistan.

The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) was dropped  on an ISIL-Khorasan cave complex in Achin District, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan on Thursday, April 13.

Chaos Theory, the science of unexpected,  deals with nonlinear systems that are inherently impossible to predict.

The butterfly effect is the principle that small changes in the initial condition can lead to drastic changes in the results: A butterfly fluttering its wings over a flower in Taiwan, for example, could cause a hurricane in New York.

But what about a ten-ton bomb dropped near multiple tectonic fault systems in Afghanistan and Pakistan: Chaman, Ghazaband, Rawat, Pamir…?

Will it open the largest seismic Pandora’s Faults across the region and beyond?
