The event occurred about 50 kms from the NPP [Shutdown after Fukushima.] A previously unknown geological fault was discovered close to the Shimane Nuclear Power Plant in 2006, according to reports.
The quake was felt throughout 14 prefectures: Shimane, Tottori, Okayama, Hiroshima, Ehime, Hyogo, Kagawa, Kochi, Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Tokushima, Nara, and Wakayama.
