The Land Day Massacre Continues
Background summary:
- Israel has been imposing a deadly blockade on the two million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip since 2007.
- The Jewish state has launched three genocidal attacks against the defenseless people since 2011.
- Israeli occupation forces have begun a new massacre against unarmed demonstrators commemorating Land Day, killing at least 37 Palestinians and wounding 2,000 others.
- A Palestinian journalist was shot dead in Gaza while covering mass protests along the Israeli border.
- Gaza strip is effectively a large Israeli concentration camp, where Palestinians cannot come and go freely and are attacked at will. They are deprived of water, food, fuel, electricity and even medical supplies.

Thursday, at the State Department briefing, while defending the cutoff of funding to hospitals and other relief efforts for Palestinians, spokesperson Heather Nauert said: “It’s as though some folks here think that we can never spend — we, the United States Government, can never spend enough money. We can never spend enough money to satisfy some critics’ concerns.” Israel has long been the largest recipient of U.S. funding, exceeding that of all sub-Saharan Africa.
