What OIG Found:
“Recent Department polling shows that about 40 percent of Iraqis believe that the United States is working to destabilize Iraq and control its natural resources and nearly a third believe that America supports terrorism in general or the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, specifically. About half of Iraqi Sunnis and Shia now say that they completely oppose the Global Coalition to Counter the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant.”

UPDATE: The speaker of parliament told reporters late Tuesday that “terrorists” controlled the entire of Nineveh province [Population: ~ 3.3 million.] More than 250,000 people have reportedly fled Nineveh to Kurdish-controlled regions in northern Iraq.
ISIS terrorists have seized key Iraqi city of Mosul [Population: ~ 1.8 million,] capital of Nineveh Province, driving back government forces, according to reports quoting senior officials.
“The city of Mosul is outside the control of the state and at the mercy of the militants,” a senior Iraqi official told reporters.
Mosul is the second city to be seized by the Saudi-backed terrorist group known as the “Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant” (ISIL or ISIS). In January terrorists seized the city of Fallujah, and parts of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar province, forcing more than 70,000 people to flee their homes.
The much larger city of Mosul and surrounding Ninevah province are a major export route for Iraqi oil and a gateway to Syria, experts say.
The Iraqi Prime Minister has called on parliament to declare a state of emergency in response to the escalation, reports said.
ISIS have freed more than 2,500 inmates from a “counter terrorism prison,” according to numerous reports posted on the Internet by locals.
Meantime, ISIS and its allies stepped up their terrorist attacks, killing or wounding dozens of people in the central town of Baquba in a double bomb attack, which targeted a funeral procession.
The terrorist attacks in western and northern Iraq have left scores of people dead or wounded since early June.

Every day in Iraq is a Major Disaster Day. At least 1,027 civilians were killed in Iraq during the month of May. The 2014 toll now stands at 5,095 civilians killed and thousands of others wounded.
Some 8,868 Iraqis, including 7,818 civilians and civilian police personnel, were killed in 2013, according to the United Nation’s Assistance (!) Mission in Iraq (UNAMI).
Iraq Body Count puts the number of civilians killed in violent acts at 9,475 for 2013.

At least 1159 people have been killed in Iraq since March 1, 2014, bringing the massacre toll to more than 3,160 so far this year.
Thousands of other have been wounded in the bloody violence. Millions of others have been scared psychologically for the rest of their lives.

According to the United Nation’s Assistance (!) Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), a total of733 people were killed nationwide in terrorist and violent acts during the month of January. The UNAMI death figure includes 618 civilians and 115 members of the security forces. Additionally, 1,229 others were wounded.
According to Iraq Body Count, the number of civilians killed in the January bloodbath were 1,076.
Some 8,868 Iraqis, including 7,818 civilians and civilian police personnel, were killed in 2013, according to UNAMI.
Iraq Body Count puts the number of civilians killed in violent acts at 9,475 for 2013.

Additionally, about 16,000 others have been wounded in the deadly violence so far this year.
Some 852 civilians and 127 members of the Iraqi Security Forces were killed in October, while 1,902 others were wounded, including 1,793 civilians and 109 security personnel, reported UNAMI.
ALL Iraqis, civilians, soldiers and security personnel, are prime targets for Saudi-backed Sunni militants seeking to destabilize the country’s Shia-led government.
According to information collected by UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and other sources, a minimum of 7,168 civilians [to be confirmed] have been killed and about 16,000 others wounded so far this year.
ALL figures remain estimates until full investigation and analysis have been carried out, said UNAMI.

100 People were killed and about 200 others were wounded across Iraq on Saturday in bomb attacks, by gunfire and IEDs, according to reports.
On Sunday, as of posting, at least 29 others have been killed, including 12 children, and about 150 more wounded.
Two of the victims were journalists. They were gunned down in northern Iraqi city of Mosul, the capital of the Nineveh Province.
The incidents involving deadly clashes, bombings and IED explosions occurred in Baghdad, Mosul, Balad, Baquba, Yusufiya, Hawija, Muqdadiya, Tikrit and Falluja, said Iraq Body Count.
The October casualties so far stands at 212 civilians killed, and about 500 others wounded.
The 2013 casualties has so far reached at least 6,285 civilians killed an more than 12,500 other wounded.

Saudi, Qatari, UAE and other Arab regimes that help perpetuate the sectarian slaughter in Iraq and Syria must realize that they will NOT escape the carnage unscathed.
According to information collected by UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and other sources, a minimum of 6,073 civilians [to be confirmed] have been killed and at least 12,000 others wounded between January 1 and September 30, 2013.
Baghdad, 1 October 2013 – According to casualty figures released today by UNAMI, a total of 979 Iraqis were killed and another 2,133 were wounded in acts of terrorism and violence in September.

Historic Rainfall
“We are confronting rainfall that has practically been the most extensive in the history of the entire national territory,” said President Nieto.
The death toll climbed after searchers recovered the bodies of five police officers who were killed when their Black Hawk helicopter crashed into a hillside near La Pintada on Thursday.
The storms have destroyed or damaged private property and public infrastructure in all but 2 of Mexico’s 31 states and affected a total of 1.2 million people, reports said.
About 40,000 tourists had to be evacuated, including 25,00 who were airlifted, out of Acapulco after severe flooding destroyed road and bridges cutting off the popular beach resort.
The full extent of disaster is still unknown because many rural communities remain cut off, officials said.
Residents in sections of Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, have been told to evacuate due to flooding, Sunday night.
An evacuation order has been issued for residents along Highway 68 in Alcalde and Velarde, said a report.
Governor Martinez signed an executive order earlier this month declaring a statewide emergency due to flooding caused by extreme rain events.

Typhoon USAGI has killed at least 25 after making landfall in Guangdong Province late Sunday.
The powerful typhoon has affected about 5.48 million people, leaving 310,000 residents displaced.
USAGI has destroyed 8,490 homes and ruined 50,800 hectares of cropland.
The losses and damage from USAGI is estimated at about CNY7.1billion (US$1.16 billion) in Guangdong province, said a report.

At least 39 people were killed on Sunday raising the death toll from Iraqi violence to 865 so far this month.
The killings occurred in Baghdad (29 people killed by gunfire, IEDs, suicide bomber), Mosul (9 killed by gunfire, IEDs ) and Abu Saida (1 person killed by gunfire), said Iraq Body Count.
As of September 22, at least 5,110 people have been killed and more than 12,000 other wounded in Iraq since the beginning of 2013, according to UNAMI figures.

The attacks occurred around late on Saturday at a funeral in Sadr City, the eastern suburb district of Baghdad, said reports.
First a car bomb was detonated near a tent where a funeral was being held. Then a suicide bomber blew himself up as he drove a car into the the crowd. A third explosion occurred after police and emergency workers had rushed to the scene.
Earlier on Saturday, 2 policemen were killed by gunfire in Mosul, 1 person in Kirkuk, 4 Sahwa members in Shirqat, 1 person in Saadiya and 1 other in Basra, according to Iraq Body Count.
The latest incidents raise the September casualties so far to 815 civilians killed, and more than 2,000 others wounded.
According to information collected by UNAMI, a minimum of 804 Iraqis were killed and another 2,030 were wounded in acts of terrorism and violence in August, 2013.
The number of civilians killed was 716 (including 106 civilian police), while the number of civilians injured was 1,936 (including 195 civilian police). A further 88 members of the Iraqi Security Forces were killed and 94 were injured.

Death toll in Nairobi mall attack has climbed to at least 59 with more than 175 others wounded after militants stormed an upscale shopping mall in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, said a senior government official on Sunday.
The scene of the siege, Westgate Mall, is situated in Nairobi’s affluent Westlands area and is frequented by wealthy Kenyans and expatriates, reports said.
“Cabinet Secretary in charge of Internal Security Joseph Ole Lenku told journalists in Nairobi that the security operation to free hostages who are still trapped inside the Westgate Mall will continue,” said a report.
“Regrettably, the human loss in the attack also went up overnight. The number of our dead has risen to 59. The number of injured has also risen to 175. Many of the injured were taken to local hospitals, treated and discharged,” he told journalists.
“We have established the location of the criminals. It’s a delicate balance and we want to evacuate the hostages safely. We believe there are some people in the building that is why I said the operation is still delicate.”
The police have so far managed to evacuate more than 1,000 people from the mall overnight, but an unknown number of others are still in the mall. “The operation is in a very delicate stage. Our paramount responsibility is to ensure that our people still held in the Mall come out alive. Our commitment is to save lives,” he said.

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up outside a church in Pakistani city of Peshawar as people were coming out after Sunday Mass, killing at least 60 people and leaving more than 100 others wounded, officials said.
About 1.6% of the Pakistani population, or 2,800,000 people, are Christians.
The overwhelming majority of the Pakistani Christians are converts from the low caste Hindus from Punjab region, from the British colonial era.

The blackout disabled stoplights in the capital, and disrupted the subway causing chaos.
Venezuelan President Maduro has accused the far-right opposition of “sabotaging” the power lines.
“Everything seems to indicate that the far-right has resumed its plan for an electrical strike against the country,” he said.
Critics blame poor management and the failure to upgrade the infrastructure, reports said.

The twister that struck near Tokyo on Monday has been rated as an F2 tornado, Japan’s Meteorological Agency reported.
The tornado left a 19km-long path of destruction, measuring up to 200m wide and extending from the eastern part of Saitama City to Bando City in Ibaraki Prefecture, the agency said.
Severe Tropical Storm TORAJI, the 17th typhoon of the season, made landfall in Kagoshima Prefecture early on Wednesday, said Japan’s Meteorological Agency.
The powerful storm is moving through southwestern Japan, bringing heavy rain and high winds.
The authorities have issued flood and mudslide warning in the affected regions.
Toraji dumped more than 80 mm of rain per hour on the island of Shikoku, and at least 250mm over Kagoshima Prefecture by Wednesday morning local time.

At least 60 people were killed and and scores more wounded in a series of car bomb attacks and shootings in several districts of Iraq’s capital Baghdad, officials have said.
Some 804 Iraqis were killed and another 2,030 were wounded in acts of terrorism and violence in August, said United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).
“Despite the decrease in casualty figures in August, compared to July, the impact of violence on civilians remains disturbingly high, with almost 5,000 civilians killed and 12,000 injured since the beginning of 2013,” the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, Ms. Jacqueline Badcock, warned.
Baghdad was the bloodiest governorate in August with 1,272 civilian casualties (317 killed and 955 injured), followed by Salahuddin, Ninewa, Diyala, Anbar, Kirkuk, Babil, Wasit and Basra, said UNAMI.

1 Policeman was beheaded, 14 people killed by gunfire, including 7 family members, 15 murdered by IEDs, and 80 were killed in 18 bomb explosions over the past 36 hours.
The monthly death toll for August so far stands at 823 civilians killed, and as many as 2,000 others wounded.
The latest killings bloodied the cities of Baghdad, Mosul, Latifiya, Falluja, Baiji, Qayyara and Jalawla, according to reports.
Saudis, Qataris and other Arab regimes that help perpetuate the sectarian slaughter in Iraq and Syria must realize that they will NOT escape the global “de-Islamization” unscathed.
According to information collected by UNAMI, a minimum of 928 were killed (including 204 civilian police) a further 2109 were injured (including 338 civilian police) in ongoing armed violence in Iraq during July 2013.
