Predicted thunderstorms could spawn tornadoes from astern Iowa to western Pennsylvania

The Storm Prediction Center has forecast possibility of severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening from the northern Plains across the Upper Midwest and Ohio Valley and into the Northeast and New England. The primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds, especially from eastern Iowa to western Pennsylvania. Some of the storms could produce isolated tornadoes: NWS

Excessive Heat Watch

Meantime, NWS has issued Excessive Heat Watch for southern Nevada, SE California and large portions of Arizona, as drought maintains intensity across the region.
