Alboran Sea rippled by strong earthquake, significant aftershocks

Centered at 35.70ºN, 3.71°W (56 km NE of Tirhanimîne, Morocco) the strong quake occurred at a depth of 10km, reported Euro-Med earthquakes.

EREs Trigger Deadly Flooding in S Morocco

Dozens of people are dead or missing in southern Morocco after severe flooding, triggered by Extreme Rain Events (EREs), swamped large swaths of the semi-desert country, authorities said.

The floods have destroyed or severely damaged scores of homes across  several regions including  Agadir, Guelmim, Marrakesh, Ouarzazate and Tiznite, according to reports.

Hundreds of tourists were forced to evacuated the affected areas.
