M5.7 aftershock occurs 76km ESE of Kathmandu, Nepal

Centered at 27.546°N, 86.075°E the aftershock occurred at a depth of about 10km, reported USGS/EHP.

Nepal Earthquakes Casualty Toll – Latest Update

Death toll from Nepal’s May 12 earthquake has risen to 136, bringing the total number of fatalities from the seismicity in the country since April 25 to 8,485 and the number of injured to 101,182, said Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs in its May 16 update.

Powerful quake strikes 76km ENE of Kathmandu, Nepal

Centered at 27.837°N, 86.077°E the quake occurred at a depth of 15.0 km (9.3 mi), reported USGS/EHP.

USGS models show possible fatalities of up to 1,000, with damages estimated at up to $100 million.
