Mt Etna, Europe’s largest and most active volcano, rumbled spewing ash and steam into the air on January 11 when MODIS on NASA’s Terra satellite captured the above image of the east coast of Sicily featuring the 3,350-meter-high volcano’s unrest, a day before it erupted.
