Position:  Near 15.6ºN 139.7E
Location:  555 km (300nm) WNW of Guam
Max. Sustained Winds: 270 km/h (145 knots)
Max. Wind Gusts: 325 km/h (175 knots)
Max Significant Wave Height: 15 m (44 ft)

The system has weakened during the past six hours, and is expected to continue weakening. STY NIDA is expected to continue in its current track moving NNW (315 degrees), and gradually slow down in forward movement speed. NIDA should become extratropical by December 1, 2009.

    is this an anomalies ? the thypoon still occur in november at northern hemisphere when it should be cold sea surface temperature ?
