Wildfire threatens hundreds of homes in L.A., Burbank

A fast-moving wildfire exploded to 5,000 acres in the Verdugo Mountains Saturday morning, threatening hundreds of homes and forcing the closure of 210 Freeway.

Los Angeles Fire Department issued an alert ordering mass evacuation of residents in multiple areas.

The so-called La Tuna fire has forced the closure of a long stretch of the 210 Freeway and threatens many homes in the Tujunga area, fire officials said.
