World’s Most Unethical Country Also “Greatest Threat to Global Peace”

The United States is considered to be the greatest threat to peace in the world by 65 nations in a 2013 global survey conducted by the Worldwide Independent Network/Gallup.

According to the survey, 24% of the world believes the United State represents the biggest threat to world peace. The US was followed by Pakistan (8%) and China (6%). Afghanistan, Iran, Israel and North Korea took joint fourth place with 5 percent of the votes.

• Some 13% of the U.S. Citizens considered their own country the biggest threat to world peace.[Additionally, 70 percent of Americans believe the US government in incapable of making progress on important issues facing the nation in 2014. ]

• Surprisingly, Saudi Arabia took only 1% of the votes, despite being a major sponsor of global terrorism.

• Japan received only 4% of the votes, despite its warmongrel prime minister targeting China with $232 billion in weapons purchase.
  

• Previously, Israel had “been described as the top threat to world peace, ahead of North Korea, Afghanistan and Iran, by [59 per cent of those interviewed in] an unpublished European Commission poll of 7,500 Europeans,” according to a report.

WIN/Gallup, allegedly made up of 77 independent market research and polling firms, calls itself “the leading association in market research and polling,” and claims to cover 95% of the global market.

The 37th annual “End of Year Survey” of the association was described as  “a global study that collects the public view on the challenges that the world faces today,” which allegedly  reflects “the thoughts and behaviors” of the populations in 65 countries across the world.

• Win/Gallup interviewed a total of 67,806 people  in 65 countries between September and December 2013.
• The survey margin of error is +/- 3.5%.
• The global average was calculated according to the proportion of the adult population in the surveyed countries.

The “Tier 1 Coalition Countries,” or the countries that obediently  support the United States war efforts to maintain its empire status, which include Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Australia, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Spain and the Netherlands account for at least 71% of the world’s total arms procurement.

Young people in the UK “feel they have nothing to live for”

32 percent of long-term unemployed young people have contemplated suicide, 24 percent had self-harmed: Report

Up to three quarters of a million young people in the UK may feel that they have nothing to live for, said a report.

Of the 2,161 long-term unemployed 16 to 25-year-olds interviewed, 281 were classified as Neet (not in employment, education or training) with 166 of the Neets being unemployed for more than six months.

Some 9% of all respondents agreed with the statement: “I have nothing to live for” and if 9% of all youngsters felt the same, it would equate to more than ¾ million young people feeling they had nothing to live for.

“Among those respondents classified as Neet, the percentage of those agreeing with the statement rose to 21%,” said the report.

About 40% of jobless young people had experienced symptoms of mental illness, including suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, and  feelings of self-hatred as a direct result of unemployment.

The long-term unemployed young people were more than twice as likely as their peers to have been prescribed anti-depressants, said the report.

More than 440,000 young people are facing long-term unemployment in the UK.

Powerful winter storm stretching from Midwest to Mid-Atlantic  threatens to reach blizzard conditions

“Very cold temperatures will continue across the Midwest where high pressure continues to linger. Heavy snowfall will be possible today from the Midwest to central New York along a frontal boundary. By tomorrow, several systems will converge toward the Mid-Atlantic resulting in snowfall from northwestern Arkansas to New England, with the heaviest amounts expected from the Appalachians into Maine.”

A complex storm system will raise havoc on the Eastern U.S. late this week

A swath of light snows will continue to develop to the north of a frontal boundary stretched from the Middle Mississippi Valley to the northern Mid-Atlantic states Wednesday evening, while a rich supply of moisture
surrounding a strengthening front in the Gulf of Mexico will continue to fuel an organized axis of rains across Central Gulf coast and Southeast.

On Thursday, these two features will begin to merge as the front stretched from the Middle Mississippi Valley to the northern Mid-Atlantic states pushes east/southeastward as a cold front and a surface low developing along the front in the Gulf lifts northeastward towards northern Florida. The complex interaction of these two systems will raise havoc on the Eastern U.S. late this week.

Accumulating snows are expected across the Ohio Valley, northern Mid-Atlantic states, and northeast, while moderate to heavy rains will push through the Southeast. The bigger story with these merging systems will most likely be the rapidly deepening surface low off the Eastern Seaboard early Friday, which will bring strong winds and bitter temperatures into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. This deepening low will also have the potential to hit coastal New England with heavy snows before it races into the Canadian Maritimes. Source: WPC/NOAA
